We’re excited to share our vision for our site at Mill Lane, King’s Sutton, and to offer you the opportunity to shape a new neighbourhood and new public open spaces.
Have your say on homes and new public open space at Mill Lane, King’s Sutton
We want to invite you to our upcoming drop-in event to view proposals for up to 100 homes and new public open space on Mill Lane, and help shape them by providing feedback.
We are holding a community drop-in session alongside Rectory Homes, who are presenting proposals for a separate scheme on Hampton Drive. This event is a chance for you to view our plans, speak directly to the project team, and share your views to shape the homes and proposed community open space.
When: Tuesday 8th September, 4pm-7pm.
Where: King’s Sutton Millennium Memorial Hall, Astrop Road, OX17 3PG.
Information: All the information that will presented at the drop-in event will be uploaded to this website on 8th September 2026 so you can view the plans before and/or should you not be able to attend in person.
Deadline: The deadline for feedback is Monday 28th September 2026.
Your feedback is important. It will help ensure our proposals reflect the needs and character of King’s Sutton.
Overview of Proposals
West Northamptonshire Council’s draft Local Plan allocates 104 new homes for King’s Sutton. This responds to significant unmet housing need across the area, with approximately 2,300 households currently on the Council’s housing waiting list. Our scheme responds to this through a mix of house types and sizes, including affordable homes, designed to reflect King’s Sutton’s character.
Our current proposals are for up to 100 homes, with half of the site a new, publicly accessible open space, including a green corridor preserving views of St Peter & St Paul’s Church.
Proposals also include improvements to Mill Lane by widening the road to create a footpath that will make walking and cycling safer for new and existing residents to the north and south.
Why this Site?
- Well connected to the centre of King’s Sutton’s shops, services, public transport connections and local facilities, creating a logical extension to the village.
- Improved pedestrian and cycle connections, through the creation of a new footpath on Mill Lane to the village centre, with potential to improve walking routes to the south and the cemetery.
- Low flood risk, keeping new homes safely away from areas most prone to flooding.
- An opportunity to deliver more than homes alone, including the enhancement of inclusive open space for the community, for example allotments, play areas and biodiversity initiatives.
