Having secured the site in 2021, Obsidian is continuing to progress a 24-acre site on the north-eastern edge of Charminster, Dorset. Charminster is a highly desirable settlement which lies to the north of Dorchester and Poundbury and the site itself occupies an enviable position with far reaching views.

Dorset recently confirmed the sites Reg 18 Draft Allocation status and given Dorset is now unable to demonstrate a five-year housing land supply position, the intention is to now prepare and submit an Outline application for 100-140 new homes in 2026 with the potential for twin tracking local plan promotion.
